The Mole

Not announced Netflix

No new season has been announced.

Pick three players and find the saboteur before the final quiz.

Players complete missions to build a shared cash pot while one of them, the Mole, secretly sabotages the group for the producers. After most episodes everyone takes a quiz about the Mole, and the lowest scorer is eliminated unless they hold an exemption. The player who knows the most about the Mole at the final quiz wins the pot.

How it will work

The proposed format for when The Mole opens. Details can change before launch.

  1. Pick three players

Choose three players from the announced cast before the season drops. One of the cast is secretly the Mole, and picking them can pay off.

  2. Locked at the first drop

Picks lock when the first batch of episodes is released. No swaps after that, even if a pick is eliminated.

  3. Score every episode

Your players earn points for surviving eliminations, winning exemptions and putting the pot first. They lose points when eliminated.

  4. The finale reveal

The final three, the winner and the Mole all earn big bonuses. The highest total in your party wins.

Your players, your party.

Pick three players, then follow them all season. Every result moves the standings in your private party.

Rules

The proposed rulebook for when The Mole opens.

Three picks

Everyone in your party chooses exactly three players from the official cast. Picks can overlap, and they stay hidden until the lock.

Locked at the first drop

Picks lock at the published release time of the first batch of episodes, checked against the server clock. They can't be changed afterwards, even if a pick is eliminated.

Every episode scores

Points start with episode 1. Results are published once per batch, after the episodes are released.

Eliminations

Each elimination round a player survives is worth 3, including when they hold an exemption. Being eliminated costs 8. Two eliminations in one episode are scored separately.

Exemptions and advantages

An exemption is worth 5 and any other advantage, such as a Correction, is worth 3. If it was paid for with pot money, the player also loses 2.

The pot

Turning down a personal advantage so the money goes to the pot is worth 3, but only when the show presents the choice and shows who made it.

Finale

Reaching the final quiz is worth 12, winning 25, and being revealed as the Mole 20. The final quiz doesn't count as an elimination round.

Voluntary exits and removals

Quitting or being removed by production scores -10. Leaving for medical or family reasons scores 0. Either way, the player stops scoring.

Returning players

If a player re-enters through an official twist, they keep the -8 from their elimination, score 6 for returning, and keep scoring for every team that picked them.

Late joiners

Members can join until the lock. A host can allow new members until the second batch is released; they pick from players still in and score from that batch on.

Ties

Members with the same total share a rank. Parties can turn on tiebreakers: finale points, then the pick who lasted longest.

Results and corrections

Results come from the released episodes. Quiz scores are never used. Corrections are logged with a reason, standings recalculate, and anyone whose score changed gets one notice.

Host settings

Hosts can adjust point values until the lock and make audited pick corrections with a reason, for example if a cast member is withdrawn before release.
