Claim to Fame

Not announced ABC

No new season has been announced.

Back two secret-keepers and score every time they win, survive a guess or crack someone else's famous family.

Relatives of celebrities live together in a house, hiding who they are related to while hunting for clues about everyone else. Each episode ends with a guess: the guesser names another player's famous relative, and a correct guess sends that player home while a wrong guess sends the guesser home. The last one standing wins $100,000.

How it will work

The proposed format for when Claim to Fame opens. Details can change before launch.

  1. Start a party

Create a private party and share the link or code with friends.

  2. Meet the cast, then pick two

Watch the premiere, then lock in two relatives before 11:59 PM that night. Picks can't be changed.

  3. Score every guess-off

Your relatives earn points for challenge wins, surviving the week and correct guesses, and lose points in the bottom two or when they go home.

  4. Win the finale

Reaching the final three, finishing runner-up and winning pay the most. Highest total takes the party.

Rules

The proposed rulebook for when Claim to Fame opens.

Your team

Pick two relatives. Picks are locked once you submit them, and two players can pick the same relative.

Pick deadline

Picks lock at 11:59 PM (party time) on the night Episode 1 airs. Anyone eliminated in Episode 1 can't be picked, and points start with Episode 2.

Official results only

Points come only from what airs. Leaks, rumors and social media never count, and if the show doesn't state something on screen, it isn't scored.

Guess-offs

A correct guess gives the guesser +8 and eliminates the target. A wrong guess gives the target +4 and eliminates the guesser. Every guess in a double-guess episode is scored.

Odd weeks

In weeks with no immunity or a tied vote, score what happened: a challenge winner who ends up guessing gets the win and the guess result.

Finale

Every finalist gets +10. The runner-up gets +6 more and the winner +20 more. Losing a finale guess-off is a placement, not an elimination, so there is no -10.

Voluntary exits and disqualifications

Quitting or being disqualified is -10. Being removed for medical or personal reasons outside the player's control is 0. Either way, that relative stops scoring.

Returning players

If the show officially brings an eliminated relative back, they get +6 and score again. Former players appearing in the finale don't score.

Ties

Tied players share a rank. A host can turn on a tiebreaker before the party starts: best finish by a pick, then most correct guesses by your picks.

Late joiners

After the deadline, a host can let late joiners in. Their picks score only from the next episode after they lock in, and their team is marked late.

Corrections

If a result is fixed, the old entry is voided and replaced, the change is logged with a reason, and only players whose score or rank changed are notified.

Independent fan game

Pick the Cast isn't affiliated with ABC or the show. No entry fees, wagering or cash prizes.
