The Bachelor
The next season premieres in 2027 on ABC. The exact date hasn’t been announced.
Pick three contestants after night one and score every date, every rose and every step to the final rose.
One lead dates a large group of contestants and narrows the field each week, handing out roses on dates and at rose ceremonies, and anyone left without a rose goes home. Hometown visits and fantasy suite dates come near the end. In the finale the lead gives the final rose to one of the last two, often with a proposal. The Bachelorette uses the same format with the roles reversed.

Rules
The proposed rulebook for when The Bachelor opens.
Picks and the lock
Each player picks three contestants still in after the premiere. Picks lock at 11:59 PM on premiere night and can't be changed after you confirm. Several players may pick the same contestant.
When scoring starts
Scoring runs from Week 2 through the finale. Night one, including the first impression rose, happens before the lock and doesn't score.
Date roses and ceremonies
A contestant holding a date rose is safe and doesn't also get the ceremony rose points. Each group date rose counts, including roses given at the after-party.
Two-on-ones
The contestant kept on a two-on-one gets the two-on-one rose. If both are sent home, both are eliminated. If both are kept, both score.
Eliminations
Anyone sent home by the lead scores -10 and nothing after. Eliminated picks stay on your team and are never replaced.
Quits and medical exits
Leaving voluntarily or being removed by production scores -10. Leaving for medical reasons scores 0. A finalist who leaves during finale week keeps the final-two points and isn't charged a quit.
Returns and late arrivals
A contestant who comes back after elimination keeps the earlier -10 and scores again from their return. New arrivals after the lock can't be picked.
Finale
Both finalists get the final-two bonus. The final rose and an accepted proposal score on top. If the lead chooses no one, nobody gets the final rose. Only the finale as aired counts, not After the Final Rose or later news.
Ties
Equal totals share a rank. Hosts can turn on a display-only tie-breaker: more finale points first, then more one-on-one dates.
Spoilers and blind lock
The show is taped in advance and endings often leak online. Results emails stay spoiler-free, and hosts can turn on Blind lock so picks close before the premiere instead.
Season pulled or lead replaced
If a season stops airing, standings freeze at the last aired episode. A season pulled before it airs cancels its parties.
Source of truth and corrections
Results come from the ABC broadcast as aired. Spoiler sites and social media never count. Any correction is audited and recalculated for every party.
